A truck belonging to Dangote group has rammed into a family home in Iwuru Obio Ntan community, Biase LGA, Cross River State, killing three persons on the spot.
The tragic incident which occurred on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025, has left community in tears as three people was confirmed dead following the incident.
Eyewitness reports said that the driver lost control of the vehicle and rammed into the house which is double poles away from the expressway.
Neighbors who rushed to the accident scene were able to recover the lifeless bodies of the family members from the rubbles.
Speaking over the tragic incident, Cross River State Commissioner for Works, on Tuesday, expressed sympathy with affected family over the tragic loss of their loved ones.
The Honourable Commissioner for Works, Hon Pius Ankpo Edet, in a statement expressed profound condolences to the grieving families who suffered a tragic loss yesterday in a fatal accident involving a truck in Big Iwuru, Biase Local Government Area of Cross River State that resulted in the loss of three lives, including a father and son.
Hon. Pius depicted the incident as more distressing than a thousand knife stabs, underscoring the immense sorrow the sudden loss has brought upon the family and the entire community of Big Iwuru
“This is an irreparable loss and my thoughts are with the grieving family during this trying time of unforeseen heartache and I pray that God grants them the courage to withstand this colossal loss,” he stated.
