The Abia State governor, Dr. Alex Otti – on Saturday 22nd of November 2025 flagged off the Aba Made Film Project – The Chronicles Of Enyimba City.
The film project which will have two thousand casts will showcase the resilient and can-do spirit of Aba people, the great Enyimba City.
The flag-off which was hosted in Aba Town Hall (Aba South) had the crème de la crème of Nollywood – Aba born and brought up Nollywood actors and actresses.

Speaking earlier during the flag off, a keynote speaker, Chief BobManuel Udokwu, a veteran Nollywood actor said when he was informed about the Aba Made film project, he embraced it dearly because Aba has been a city after his heart.
He said he has gone through the script and the film project is one that deserves every accolade it’s getting. According to him, Governor Alex Otti has done something significant by supporting the idea, which makes the governor stand out amongst his peers.
The actor praised the governor for changing the face of Aba from what it used to be to a new city.

In his remarks, Dr. Propect Nlemchukwu, the Technical Director of Aba Made Film Project, said he was pleased to be involved in the movie.
The USA based movie director and filmmaker promised to give it all his best to make sure the movie becomes a global standard.
“When Ifekandu informed me about the Aba Made Film Project, I promised him I would get involved and would bring my expertise to play,” Nlemchukwu said. He said the involvement of governor Alex Otti showed the governor’s urge to support the creative industry in the State.
Speaking earlier in his remarks, Francis Ifekandu, the Producer Aba Made Film Project, said in 2022 when he pitched the idea of Aba Made Film Project – The Chronicles Of Enyimba City to Governor Alex Otti, he promised him he would support the film project when he becomes the governor of the state.
Ifekandu thanked the governor for keeping to his words. He said the film project is so dear to him; according to him, the Aba Made Film Project is all about Enyimba City, and it’s time “we tell our stories by ourselves.”
The Producer Aba Made Film Project said the movie will have two thousand casts, and they will make use of the known Nollywood actors especially those born and brought up in Abia, and there will be auditions for more.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Occasion, Dr. Chima Desmond Anyaso (Ofuji), said he was pleased when he was informed about the idea of Aba Made Film Project. According to him, as someone who grew up in Abia, Enyimba City has always played a part in his growth journey.
He said the Aba Made Film Project is a very big deal which deserves every support it needs. Anyaso said governor Otti’s involvement in the film project has shown the governor’s resolve to bring back the creative industry back to Aba.
He thanked Governor Alex Otti for his good project in the State and how he has transformed Aba under two years of his administration.
Speaking during the flag off, Governor Alex Otti said he has always wanted to bring the creative industry back to Aba. According to him, “Aba has always been the starting point of the creative industry and his administration is open to work with the Abia born and brought up Nollywood actors to bring the creative industry back to where it began.
Governor Otti who flagged off the Aba Made Film Project said his administration will provide every support the project deserves till the end.
“To the Producer and Director of this Aba Made Film Project, be rest assured my administration will support you fully to achieve the greater result,” Governor Alex Otti said.
He added that his administration has a plan to develop a film village and they are waiting for a suitable location to site the film village. “We are only waiting for a good location to site the film village and it will become a reality,” Otti said.
He said his administration has signed an MoU with Radisson Blue to handle the remodelling of Enyimba Hotels located in Ogbor Hill Aba, and the firm will deliver a five-star hotel.
Otti said his administration is open for business and it’s one of the reasons he is opening up Aba roads to provide an enabling environment for investors. “We embarked on road construction/reconstruction to create an enable environment for investors,” Otti said.
Meanwhile, the even was graced by personalities from all walks of life, including known Nollywood actors and actresses, Chinedu Ikedieze (Aki), Joyce Kalu, Nkiru Silvanus, Ola Daniels, Paul Udonsi, Amaechi Anaekwe and many others.
Politicians from Abia also graced the even, Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, House of Reps member Representing Isiala Ngwa North and South, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ihuoma Emeruwa, Speaker Abia State House of Assembly, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, etc.
