A shocking and dangerous scene unfolded in Lagos after a fuel tanker overturned, spilling its contents onto the road and drawing a large crowd of residents who rushed to scoop fuel despite the obvious risks.
Eyewitnesses captured the moment people risks their lives, using containers and buckets to collect the highly flammable fuel, even as traffic built up and the strong smell of petrol filled the air.

The incident occurred at Tincan Liverpool Bridge, Apapa, a busy commercial route known for heavy truck movement.
Authorities have repeatedly warned that such actions can lead to explosions, fires, and loss of lives, yet desperation and fuel scarcity continue to push people into life-threatening situations.

The event has once again raised serious concerns about public safety, emergency response, and the need for stronger enforcement at accident scenes.
