CLO Hails Igwe-Elect Uche Nwakor’s Humanitarian Impact, Urges Soludo to Grant Official Recognition

The Civil Liberties Organization (CLO), Anambra State Branch, has commended the humanitarian contributions and selfless service of Igwe-elect of Nsugbe, Dr. Uche Nwakor, describing him as a rare asset to humanity.

In a press statement issued in Awka, the organization praised Nwakor’s sustained efforts in promoting public awareness on the health implications of modern technology, particularly radiation exposure from electronic devices.

According to the CLO, Nwakor, through his companies, Chonik Electronics Ltd and Chonik Technologies Lagos, has spearheaded free sensitization campaigns across communities, schools, churches, and markets. These initiatives focus on educating citizens about the safe use of electronic gadgets, potential hazards, and preventive health measures in the digital and wireless technology era.

The group noted that his outreach programs have contributed to raising awareness about risks linked to devices such as mobile phones, microwave systems, X-ray equipment, and high-tension installations. It added that his interventions have helped many citizens avoid health complications, including memory loss, tumors, and other radiation-related illnesses, while also reducing medical expenses through preventive education.

Commending his philosophy of service, the CLO referenced the ideals of Mother Teresa, noting that Nwakor embodies the principle of living for others through his consistent humanitarian efforts.

The organization further called on well-meaning individuals to emulate Nwakor’s commitment to community service, stressing that collective responsibility is key to societal development.

Meanwhile, the CLO has appealed to the Anambra State Government, led by Charles Soludo, and the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, to issue a Certificate of Recognition to Nwakor as the duly selected Igwe-elect of Nsugbe.

The group stated that Nwakor emerged through a peaceful, transparent, and unanimous selection process conducted by the Ivite quarter of Nsugbe, which is traditionally designated to produce the town’s monarch. The selection, it noted, was ratified on March 14, 2026, in accordance with established customs, constitutional provisions, and rotational arrangements.

Signed by the CLO State Chairman, Evangelist Comrade Vincent Ezekwueme, and Comrade Chidi Mbah, the statement emphasized that granting official recognition would consolidate peace, justice, and unity in Nsugbe community.

The organization expressed optimism that the state government’s approval would formally seal the consensus reached by stakeholders and ensure continued harmony in the town.
