The declaration, held at his country home, drew a wide cross-section of political stakeholders, youth groups, community leaders, and socio-political organizations from across Obingwa, Osisioma Ngwa, and Ugwunagbo, turning the event into a significant political moment in the constituency.
Speaking during his declaration, Emmanuel Josiah described his political ambition as a continuation of his long-standing commitment to humanitarian service and grassroots empowerment. He emphasized that his life experiences shaped his compassion for ordinary people, noting his personal journey through poverty, educational hardship, and limited opportunities.

He highlighted the impact of the EVANSINO Humanitarian Foundation, which has provided scholarships, paid school fees, sponsored medical surgeries, supported youth and women empowerment programs, and delivered medical outreaches, boreholes, and other forms of humanitarian assistance across communities. He stated that his decision to run for office was driven by a desire to deepen such interventions through legislative representation.

According to him, leadership must be compassionate, accountable, and focused on the needs of the people, adding that youths deserve opportunities, women deserve empowerment, the elderly deserve care, and every community deserves development. He further pledged to pursue a constituency where leadership listens and service to the people remains the priority.

The Labour Party Chairman for Obingwa, Hon. Tony Ngwakwe, commended Evansino’s grassroots presence, describing him as a man whose humanitarian activities have already touched lives across the local government. He noted that farmers, women, children, and youths have benefited from his foundation’s interventions, adding that his entry into politics is a welcome development for the party.

He expressed optimism that if given the party’s ticket, Evansino would be further strengthened to expand his impact at the national level, stating that his humanitarian background reflects genuine concern for the people.
Also speaking, the Mayor of Obingwa Local Government Area, Hon. Maxwell Nwadike, described Emmanuel Josiah as a young man who has consistently impacted lives through his philanthropic work. He expressed confidence that given the opportunity to represent the constituency, he would deliver meaningful development to the people.
In a brief interview, the State Chairman of the Labour Party, Hon. Peter Azubuike, who arrived later due to other political engagements, described Evansino as a pleasant personality who has taken a commendable step into active politics. He noted that the declaration has formally introduced him into the political landscape and wished him success in his political journey.
