A viral video circulating on social media has captured a dramatic scene in Benin City, Edo State, where residents challenged a member of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement to heal a mentally unstable man in public.
According to eyewitnesses in the video, the challenge arose after residents referenced several miracle testimonies frequently shared by members of the church. They argued that if the God worshipped by the church is indeed capable of performing extraordinary miracles, then the cleric should demonstrate such power by healing the mentally unstable man standing before them.
Accepting the challenge, the church member reportedly began praying fervently and singing worship songs while attempting to minister to the man.
During the session, the cleric reportedly stated that the absence of anointing oil posed a challenge. However, some of the onlookers rejected the explanation, insisting that he should continue with the prayer using water and invoke the name of God.

As the crowd watched closely, the situation took an unexpected turn. The mentally unstable man eventually knelt before the cleric, but there was no visible sign of healing or transformation.
The outcome prompted laughter and reactions from several residents gathered at the scene, with some mocking the church member and questioning the authenticity of miracle claims often associated with public testimonies.
The video has since sparked widespread debate on social media, with users expressing differing opinions. While some viewers criticized the cleric for accepting the challenge, others argued that spiritual matters should not be subjected to public tests or pressure from spectators.

Others maintained that individuals who publicly make claims about miraculous healings should be prepared to face scrutiny when such claims are challenged.
As of the time of filing this report, neither the church leadership nor the individual involved in the incident had issued an official statement regarding the viral video.
