The political momentum surrounding the 2027 House of Representatives election in Bende Federal Constituency received another boost as the Concerned Citizens Grassroot Mobilization, Bende LGA, paid a solidarity visit to Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso (Ofuji) at Ofuji Resort, Igbere.
The delegation used the occasion to formally express its confidence in Dr. Anyaso and pledge unwavering support for his aspiration to represent the people of Bende Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly come 2027.
Presenting the group’s address, its Secretary, Hon. Patrick Orji Eze, said the delegation came not merely as visitors but as citizens convinced that Bende deserves purposeful, responsive and development-oriented representation.
According to him, Bende Federal Constituency stands at a defining moment in its political history, with the people yearning for representation capable of translating the constituency’s enormous human and economic potential into tangible development.
He said the people desire effective representation that would attract meaningful projects, empower young people, support women, improve education, strengthen healthcare delivery, promote agriculture, create employment opportunities and expand economic activities across the constituency.
The group expressed confidence that Ofuji would provide such purposeful representation if elected in 2027.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Concerned Citizens Grassroot Mobilization, Bende LGA, High Chief Okechukwu Orikeze, described Dr. Anyaso as a compassionate philanthropist whose interventions have touched the lives of people across Bende Federal Constituency, particularly through initiatives undertaken with his personal resources.

He expressed the conviction that Anyaso’s demonstrated commitment to human development and community service provides a strong foundation for what he could achieve as an elected representative.
The chairman further expressed confidence that Dr. Anyaso would offer a stronger and more development-focused representation than the incumbent if given the mandate in 2027.
Responding, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso thanked the delegation and its leadership for the confidence reposed in him and for the solidarity extended to his aspiration.
He said his decision to participate in politics was not driven by the desire for personal enrichment but by a commitment to serve the people with empathy, integrity and a clear vision for sustainable development.
According to him, the time has come for Ndi Bende to experience purposeful representation anchored on human capital development, infrastructure, empowerment and inclusive economic growth.
Anyaso assured the delegation that his vision for Bende goes beyond political office, stressing that true representation must ultimately be measured by the opportunities created, lives improved and communities transformed.
The solidarity visit further underscored the growing importance of grassroots engagement as political stakeholders across Bende begin to articulate their expectations ahead of the 2027 election.
Among those present at the meeting were the Mayor of Bende LGA, Dcn. Uwabunkeonye Bassy; Deputy Mayor, Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Anya; Director-General of the Chima Anyaso Campaign Organisation, Pastor Okechukwu Dike (Eriwe); Chairman, Board of Trustees, Chima Anyaso Foundation, Ezeogo Emeka Onuoha, alongside other leaders and political stakeholders from across Bende Federal Constituency.
For the supporters gathered at Ofuji Resort, the message was clear: the 2027 contest is increasingly being framed around the kind of representation Ndi Bende want—and the development they expect from it.
