A major milestone in Abia’s economic revival was recorded yesterday as Ultimum Beverages commissioned a multimillion-dollar production facility in Aba, reinforcing the state’s growing reputation as a hub for industry and innovation.
The state-of-the-art plant, developed by the Kadji Group, represents an initial investment of over $35 million, with projections to scale up to $100 million in the coming years. The project is expected to create jobs, stimulate local businesses, and strengthen Aba’s position as a key manufacturing center in southeastern Nigeria.

Government officials described the investment as a strong vote of confidence in Abia State’s improving business environment. Since May 2023, the current administration has focused on rebuilding critical infrastructure, enhancing security, and creating a more investor-friendly climate.
According to the government, these reforms are already beginning to yield results, attracting serious investors who recognize the state’s growth potential. The commissioning of the Ultimum Beverages facility is being seen as a clear validation of these ongoing efforts.

Officials also commended the Kadji Group for its commitment to Aba, noting that the company’s decision reflects belief in the city’s entrepreneurial strength and long-term economic prospects.
The government reaffirmed its pledge to protect investments and continue fostering policies that drive industrial growth and prosperity for residents.

With this latest development, stakeholders say Abia is steadily reclaiming its status as a leading destination for business and manufacturing in Nigeria.
