Ned Nwoko Reveals Regina Daniels’ Actual Age Before Marriage, Says She Was Not 17

Senator Ned Nwoko, husband of Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels has revealed the actual age of his wife before they got married.

The senator made the revelation in a post shared on his social media page on Thursday, he said the disclaimer was following insinuations that he married Regina Daniels when she was 17 years old.

The rumor started when a Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson posted on her Instagram story that Regina Daniels was barely 17 years old when Ned married her, insinuating that the lawmaker shouldn’t be surprised at what is currently going on.

AbaCityBlog reports that Regina Daniels’ marriage to Ned Nwoko has hit the rock, as the lawmaker had locked up Regina’s brother following an altercation at his Abuja home.

Senator Ned had accused Regina Daniels of hard drugs abuse, revealing that she has refused to be admitted to a rehabilitation center for full recovery.

However, in a new twist, Ned Nwoko said when he first met Regina Daniels, he asked her of her real age, she said 21, and he requested for a document to back it up, which she provided an INEC Voters Card which corroborated her claim.

Nwoko, who shared the Voters Card said it’s necessary so people will know that Regina Daniels was not an underage when they got married.

He wrote:

“It has come to my attention that false claims are being circulated by Regina, suggesting that I married her when she was 17 years old. These claims are entirely untrue and misleading.

“For clarity, during my first meeting with Regina, I asked her age, and she told me she was 21 years old. I further asked if she had any document to support this, and she presented her inec voter’s card, which clearly shows that she was born on October 10th, 1998. I informed her that I would keep this document in my possession, and I have done so since that day.

“I have also seen a BBC interview Her mom granted after our marriage regarding her age.

“According to all verifiable records, our marriage took place six years ago, which means Regina is 27 years old today. Any suggestion that I married her at 17 is false and should not be accepted by the public.”
