A leading political figure and philanthropist, Chima Anyaso, has lauded the DOGO Foundation for its community development initiative, “Switch On Bende,” describing it as a timely intervention aimed at improving the lives of residents in Bende.
The project, spearheaded by Iheanyi Frank Chinasa, focuses on providing illumination across communities in the constituency, a move widely seen as a step toward enhancing security, boosting local economic activities, and restoring hope among the people.
Commending the initiative, Chima Anyaso praised Chinasa for his commitment to grassroots development, noting that the effort reflects true leadership and sacrifice.
According to Anyaso, the project goes beyond lighting up communities, as it symbolizes progress, safety, and a renewed sense of belonging for the people of Bende.

He further applauded the use of personal resources to fund such impactful projects, emphasizing that meaningful development requires dedication and a genuine desire to serve.
“This initiative speaks volumes about the kind of leadership our people need—one that prioritizes visible impact and practical solutions,” he said.
Anyaso also called on members of the Chima Anyaso Foundation and the Ofuji Movement across Bende to support the project, urging collective participation in initiatives that promote the common good.
Observers believe that the “Switch On Bende” project could significantly bridge infrastructure gaps in rural communities, especially in areas where access to basic amenities remains limited.

The initiative aligns with broader development efforts in Abia State under Governor Alex Chioma Otti, whose administration continues to emphasize infrastructure and economic growth.
Residents have expressed optimism that the project will not only improve living conditions but also inspire more community-driven interventions across the state.
