London, United Kingdom — The President of the Igbo Community London, Valentine C. Akudinobi, has extended warm Easter greetings to Igbo people worldwide, urging unity, resilience, and renewed commitment to shared values.
In his Easter message on behalf of the community, Akudinobi described the celebration as a powerful symbol of hope, renewal, and victory, drawing from the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
He noted that Easter represents a timeless truth—that after suffering comes glory, after setbacks come comebacks, and after storms come triumph. According to him, this message strongly reflects the identity and enduring spirit of the Igbo people.
“As Ndigbo, we are resilient, hardworking, and forward-moving. No matter the challenges we face, we have always found the strength to rise, rebuild, and succeed,” he said.
Addressing members of the Igbo community in London and across the diaspora, the ICL President called for strengthened unity and collective purpose. He emphasized the importance of supporting one another in line with the Igbo philosophy of *Onye aghala nwanne ya*—leave no one behind.
Akudinobi further encouraged the promotion of Igbo culture and identity with pride, while working collaboratively to build a stronger and more vibrant community in the United Kingdom.
“Let this Easter mark a new beginning for us all—individually and collectively—a season of growth, peace, progress, and renewed commitment to the ideals that bind us together,” he added.
He reaffirmed that the Igbo spirit remains alive and resilient, expressing confidence that through unity and shared vision, the community will continue to thrive and move forward.
Akudinobi concluded his message with the traditional Easter proclamation, “Christ is risen! He is risen indeed,” while wishing all members of the community a joyful and fulfilling celebration.
