Nigerian international footballer, Victor Osimhen has revealed what an Award-winning football legend, Cristiano Ronaldo told him the first time he met him.
Osimhen, in an interview with Daddy Freeze said he was starstruck the first time he played against Cristiano when the legend was playing at Juventus.
Victor, a Napoli striker said he idolized both Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Neymar Jr. while growing up, according to him, both players are legends in his book who has shown so much impact in football.
Osimhen went on to say he has already told his friends that whenever he played against or alongside both players, he would definitely get a picture with them.
Recounting his first time meeting with Cristiano Ronaldo, Osimhen said, while Ronaldo was playing for Juventus, his club Napoli had a match with Ronaldo’s side and they won 1:0.
After the match, he met Ronaldo and asked for a picture, Cristiano told him to come to the dressing room for a picture.
“After the match, we won against Juventus; it was a home match. I met Ronaldo and asked him for a picture; he said yes, sure, come to the dressing room”.
“When I got there, guess what? Ronaldo was already at the gym getting fit shortly after the match,” Osimhen said.
“I met Buffon, an amazing person too; he told me to wait for Ronaldo to finish. I waited for 30 minutes to one hour before he came out”
Osimhen said, Ronaldo called him to come and take pictures;
“I took some pictures, he asked me if the pictures were enough, I said no, he said okay, let’s take more and after that, he told me, “great game,” Osimhen said while discussing why talent is not enough without hard work.
