The Founder of the Evansino Humanitarian Foundation, Ambassador Emmanuel Josiah, has visited the family of the late Miss Wendy Achumba to express his condolences following her tragic death in Imo State.
Miss Achumba, a student of the College of Nursing, Umulogho in Obowo Local Government Area of Imo State, was reportedly found dead in her apartment on Thursday shortly after completing her midwifery programme and while undergoing post-basic training. The circumstances surrounding her death have continued to generate shock and sorrow across her community and beyond.

The incident has sparked widespread grief, with friends, colleagues, and members of the public describing her as a bright young woman whose promising future was painfully cut short. Her death has left a deep emotional wound among those who knew her, particularly within the academic and healthcare training community.
The late nursing student, who hailed from Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State, was born into the family of Elder Jerry Nmerigini Achumba. Her family has since been thrown into mourning as sympathisers continue to visit and offer support.

During his condolence visit to the bereaved family at their residence around the United Evangelical Church area in Ogbor Hill, Aba, Ambassador Josiah expressed deep sorrow over the loss, praying for strength and comfort for the family as they navigate the painful period.
He also assured the family of his continued support and solidarity, emphasizing the importance of standing with grieving families in moments of devastating loss.
As part of his humanitarian intervention, Ambassador Josiah pledged financial assistance to help ease the burden on the family during the mourning period, reaffirming his commitment to supporting vulnerable families in distress.
Describing the incident as heartbreaking, he noted that the deceased’s dedication to her studies and ambition in the medical profession made her passing even more devastating.
