The IYOM Ugwueke, the umbrella body of women in Ugwueke Community, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, has pledged its continued support for Labour Party chieftain, Dr. Chima Anyaso, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The women made the declaration on Saturday during their August Meeting, where Dr. Anyaso, the Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, was hosted as a special guest.
In appreciation of his long-standing support and goodwill toward the community, IYOM Ugwueke presented Dr. Anyaso with a giant goat as a symbolic gesture of gratitude.
Speaking at the event, the women commended Dr. Anyaso for his consistent interventions and engagement with the people of Ugwueke, noting that his contributions have made a lasting impact on the community.
They further vowed to stand firmly with him as political activities intensify toward the 2027 Bende Federal Constituency election.
In his response, Dr. Anyaso thanked the women for the honor and reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of Ugwueke and the entire Bende Federal Constituency.
