The media team of Senator Nkechi Nwaogu has responded to recent comments by Uche Aguoru concerning the former senator, urging him to focus on verifiable facts and substantive issues rather than personal attacks.
In a statement, the Nwaogu media team questioned the basis of Aguoru’s criticisms and said that any concerns he has about Senator Nwaogu should be addressed through facts and issues that can be independently verified.
The team also faulted what it described as an excessive focus on Senator Nwaogu, arguing that the Abia chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) should devote more attention to presenting its candidates, programmes and policies to the electorate.
According to the statement, political disagreements should be centred on issues, records and ideas rather than personal attacks or claims that have not been substantiated.
“ If Aguoru has genuine issues with Senator Nwaogu, he should present the facts and address the issues rather than resorting to personal attacks and unsubstantiated claims,” the team said.
The Nwaogu camp further stated that Senator Nwaogu remains focused on her political activities and engagement with residents of Abia Central.
The statement comes amid ongoing political exchanges in Abia ahead of the 2027 elections, with different political actors and supporters increasingly responding to one another through public statements.
The Nwaogu media team maintained that the former senator would continue to focus on her political message and engagement with the people of Abia Central.
