Reno Omokri releases email Peter Obi sent him in 2018 to back up his claim of Making Obi Atiku’s running mate

Reno Omokri has released as email sent to him by former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi in 2018.

Omokri, an ardent critic of Peter Obi has on several occasions claimed responsibility of making Obi the running mate of Atiku Abubakar in 2019 presidential election.

AbaCityBlog recalled that Obi was the running mate of Atiku Abubakar the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in 2019 general election.

In series of interviews and podcasts, Omokri, who was then the an aide to Atiku Abubakar had claimed that he facilitated and made sure Atiku picked Obi as his running. “I made Atiku to pick Obi in 2018, he forwarded me his CV begging me to make sure Atiku picked him,” Omokri claimed.

While many has called him out to show evidence of his claim, Omokri said he had damning evidence to prove that he made Obi Atiku’s running mate despite Atiku Abubakar stating in an interview how he was directed by his boss, former president Olusegun Obasanjo to pick Obi as his running mate in 2018.

Releasing the evidence to back up his claim, Reno Omokri posted a screenshot of an email sent to him by Obi in 2018, the email contains attached the CV.

In the body of the email, Obi told Omokri that has was directed to sent the email to him by our “Oga” (meaning Atiku Abubakar). However, Reno who released the email has continued to claim that he was the one that helped Obi to become Atiku’s running mate.

Meanwhile, Peter Obi has remained silent in all these accusations and Omokri said he has other damning evidence to release if Obi claimed the email was fabricated.
