The Team Bourdex Local Government tour continued on Monday with a massive reception in Isuikwuato Local Government Area as the Labour Party’s Abia North Senatorial Candidate, Chief Dr. David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex, MFR, OON, formally inaugurated Ward Coordinators of Team Bourdex in what political observers described as a significant demonstration of grassroots organisation and stakeholder engagement.
The event attracted a broad spectrum of society, including respected political stakeholders, community leaders, youths, women groups, and members of the academic community comprising Professors, Doctors and lecturers from Abia State University, Uturu.
Their presence reflected growing interest in the ongoing organisational tour aimed at strengthening Team Bourdex’s grassroots network across the five local government areas of Abia North Senatorial District.
Speaking during the inauguration, Chief Bourdex expressed appreciation to the people of Isuikwuato for the warm reception, describing their solidarity and participation as encouraging and a reflection of the people’s desire to remain actively involved in the development of Abia North.
He noted that the inauguration of Ward Coordinators was part of the process of building a functional grassroots support structure anchored on discipline, service and effective community engagement.
Addressing the newly inaugurated Ward Coordinators, Bourdex reminded them that leadership is defined by responsibility rather than titles.
He urged them to remain committed to serving their various communities, building stronger relationships with residents and ensuring that Team Bourdex remains people-oriented throughout its activities.
According to him, effective grassroots organisation depends on discipline, accountability and continuous engagement with the people.
Chief Bourdex also emphasised the need for unity among members and stakeholders of the Labour Party in Isuikwuato.
He explained that Team Bourdex would continue to work harmoniously with all elected Labour Party office holders, party leaders and stakeholders in the local government.
He specifically acknowledged the Member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Hon. Amobi Ogah, the Labour Party House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Lucky Johnson, and other leaders, stressing that cooperation and mutual respect remain essential for strengthening the party’s structures.
He further disclosed that the Team Bourdex Local Government Coordinator, Hon. Harrison Onuke, would continue coordinating activities to ensure effective collaboration among all stakeholders.
Bourdex reaffirmed his support for Governor Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, noting that the developmental strides being witnessed across Abia State have inspired many residents.
He encouraged members of Team Bourdex to continue supporting initiatives that promote development, good governance and the overall progress of Abia North and the state.

The Isuikwuato outing marks another phase of the Team Bourdex Local Government organisational tour, which is aimed at inaugurating ward coordinators and deepening engagement with stakeholders across the senatorial district.
