The Chima Anyaso Campaign Organization, CACO, has named Hon. Promise Uzoma Okoro, as Director of Media and Publicity and Chief Mrs. Stella Okorie as Director of Women, ahead of the 2027 race for Bende Federal Constituency.
The two appointments were conveyed in separate letters dated July 28, 2026, and signed by the Labour Party candidate for Bende, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, also known as Ofuji.
In Okoro’s letter, Dr. Anyaso said the appointment followed wide consultations and was based on Okoro’s track record in journalism, public relations and communication.
As Director of Media and Publicity, Okoro will provide leadership and strategic direction for all campaign messaging. His brief covers coordinating media activities, developing and executing communication strategies, managing publicity materials, supporting press engagements, promoting the campaign’s vision and programmes, handling public information, and ensuring consistency and accuracy across all platforms.
Okoro is a journalist, blogger and university lecturer. He serves as Chairman of the Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria, OMPAN, Abia State Chapter, and as Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, Abia State Chapter.
In a related letter, Chief Mrs. Stella Okorie was appointed to lead the Women’s Directorate. She will oversee coordination and strategy for women’s mobilization and ensure that women coordinators, committees and structures align with the campaign’s goals.
Her responsibilities include providing strategic leadership, supervising women’s campaign operations, driving implementation of campaign plans, advising on political and organizational decisions, fostering unity within the women’s structure, and ensuring accountability at all levels.
Congratulating both appointees, Dr. Anyaso said he is confident they will serve with integrity, diligence and excellence as CACO builds what he described as a disciplined, issue-driven and people-focused campaign.
