In what political analysts are calling “the most peaceful crisis in Bende history,” the mere existence of Dr. Chima Anyaso is reportedly causing sleepless nights across the opposition camp.
The brilliance, bravery, and political sagacity of the incoming Member to represent Bende Federal Constituency is spreading like wildfire. Or should we say, spreading like panic.
His capacity is not in doubt. Anytime. Any day.
Sources close to reality confirm that Bende has never had it this good. Constituents are already celebrating in advance what is coming in 2027. The opposition, meanwhile, is celebrating something else: emergency meetings at 2am.
The Igbere-born billionaire, known for his philanthropy, support for the less privileged, and for building the first free school in Abia, continues to commit the grave political sin of actually helping people. He has also been caught, on multiple occasions, giving his unflinching support to the hardworking and amiable Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti. Very reckless behavior.
Dr. Anyaso has reminded everyone, especially Ndi Bende, that he was not joking when he said he is coming to rescue them from corrupt and incapable representation come 2027. The opposition heard “rescue” and immediately assumed it meant “retirement” — for them.
The fear in the opposition camp is palpable. Politics in Bende will never remain the same. One electorate in Bende was overheard saying: “Darkness has been removed, our eyes are open now and Anyaso is our candidate.” The opposition responded by turning off their own lights.
In his words on his verified Facebook page:
“I only visited ONE traditional ruler — a father figure to me — to declare my intention to represent Ndi Bende in the Federal House of Representatives and receive his fatherly blessings.
And suddenly, all hell broke loose!
People came down from their high horses and started dancing, singing and moving from ward to ward — even at midnight — doing what they couldn’t do in over seven years.
Now I’m wondering… if just ONE visit can cause this much movement, what will happen when I officially begin my ward tour?”
Political scientists are still trying to understand the science behind it. How can one visit do what seven years of noise could not? The opposition has no answer. They are currently busy blaming the traditional ruler, the night, and Facebook.
Bende is watching. 2027 is coming.
And the opposition is already tired.
