The contest for the Bende Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives has officially begun as Dr. Chima Desmond Anyaso, popularly known as “OFUJI”, unveiled his official campaign flier ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to a post on his verified Facebook page released today, the flier carries the bold declaration: “THE JOURNEY HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN. WALK WITH ME!!!”_ The messaging positions the campaign as a grassroots mobilization effort aimed at connecting directly with constituents across the Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.
Dr. Anyaso is seeking to represent Bende Federal Constituency in the National Assembly. His campaign is branded around the slogan `OGA DI KA OLUEBUBE!`, which translates to “it will be like a miracle.” The phrase has already started gaining traction among supporters on social media alongside the hashtags #OFUJI2027, #Bende2027 and #ogadikaoluebube.
Political observers say the early release of campaign materials signals an intent to build momentum ahead of the election scheduled for February 2027. The “Walk With Me” theme suggests a strategy centered on community engagement, town hall meetings, and door-to-door outreach, rather than relying solely on traditional media.
While the flier did not detail a policy agenda, sources close to the OFUJI2027 team said the campaign will prioritize youth empowerment, infrastructure development, healthcare access, and agricultural support for Bende communities.
Dr. Anyaso is a billionaire businessman and philanthropist who has been active in Abia politics and community development initiatives in recent years. He is a strong supporter of the current leadership in Abia State led by Dr. Alex Otti, and is positioning himself as the people’s choice due to his antecedents as he makes his push for the National Assembly.
With less than a year to the elections, the unveiling is expected to intensify political activities in Bende. Supporters say there is growing demand for new leadership with greater compassion and focus on the people.
