Former Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide spokesman Chuks Ibegbu has lambasted the Lagos state government for renaming of street names in Lagos which formerly bear Igbo names.
Ibegbu, while threatening to sue the Lagos state government for aiding the action of the local government chairmen, warned against ethnic profiling in Lagos.
He has further warned the Lagos state government to stop supporting the change of street names in Lagos to Yoruba names alone.
Ibegbu whodescribed the action as ‘terrible’ called on President Tinubu to call the Lagos state government to order before the world begin to see the perpetrators as ethnic bigots and irredentists
The former Ohanaeze Ndigbo Spokesperson who recollected the ethnic actions of some hoodlums in Lagos after the 2023 elections warned that the unity of the country is at stake with this barbaric action
He noted that the status of Lagos as an ethnic melting point is under threat and the world is watching the bigotry from that part of the country.
Ibegbu threatened that if no action is being taken to stop the activities of the street renaming, he will sue the Lagos state government “for this barbarism”
