An Igbo billionaire businessman and founder of Zenco Group has made headlines after donating brand new buses to the City Boy Movement, a youth-driven political group under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The donation is seen as a major boost to grassroots mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The City Boy Movement, known as a prominent APC youth wing, is actively positioning themselves to campaign for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

The newly donated buses are expected to enhance logistics, coordination, and outreach programs across the five states of Southeast region, especially in mobilizing young supporters.

Speaking during the presentation of the buses, Obinna Iyiegbu (aka) Obi Cubana, the Coordinator General of City Boy Movement South East Zone, expressed deep appreciation to the Zenco Group chairman and other Igbo billionaires, describing the gesture as a demonstration of commitment to youth empowerment and political stability.

Obi Cubana who was joined by other Igbo billionaire businessmen said more buses are coming in few days.

They noted that transportation remains a key challenge in organizing large-scale political engagements, and the buses will significantly ease movement for campaign activities.

Political observers say the donation signals growing support from influential business figures within the South-East region. It also reflects increasing political alignment and engagement from private sector leaders who believe in the current administration’s economic and development agenda.

As preparations gradually begin for the 2027 elections, the City Boy Movement continues to strengthen its structure nationwide. With support from notable entrepreneurs like the Zenco Group boss, C Energy, etc., the movement appears determined to expand its reach and consolidate youth backing for President Tinubu’s second-term ambition.

The buses were donated by Zenco Group, C Energy and Ohams Divine.
