Former Abia State governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has said his administration started most of the projects finished by the Governor Alex Otti’s government.
Ikpeazu, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who governed Abia from 2015 to 2023 said, while it is good to celebrate the incumbent governor, Alex Otti for completing the Aba Port Harcourt road project, it is not out of place to recognized the person whose administration started it.
The ex-Governor said his administration would have finished the reconstruction of the road, however, they met litigation by a resident which lasted in court and was later settled out of court.

He said his administration under the ministry of works headed by Engineer Bob Ogu, did the hard work on the Port Harcourt road project.
Ikpeazu made the statement while meeting with PDP stakeholders in his country home in Umuobiakwa, Obingwa LGA.
According to him, his administration started many projects which the present government inherited and executed. He recalled that if his administration did not start the remodeling of Ariaria international Market Aba, the present government wouldn’t have inherited it.
Ikpeazu went ahead to list other projects, while urging the Governor Alex Otti’s administration to give kudos to the government that started most of the projects his administration finishes today.
