The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, has expressed sadness over the military jet crash reported in Igbokoda, Ondo State, on Monday.

The crash reportedly claimed the lives of personnel and crew members of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) who were on board the aircraft.
Kalu, in a condolence message issued on Monday, commiserated with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, officers and personnel of the Nigerian Air Force, as well as the families of those who lost their lives in the incident.
He described the crash as a national tragedy and extended his condolences to the bereaved families.
The Deputy Speaker also called for a comprehensive investigation into the incident to establish the circumstances and cause of the crash.
According to him, Parliament would support efforts aimed at strengthening measures to prevent similar air disasters in the future.
Kalu prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and expressed solidarity with their families and colleagues at this difficult time.
