A 52-year-old Nigerian man, Adeloye Johnson, has been arrested in South Africa for paying R120,000 bride price with fake money.
The incident which took place at Gauteng province, shocked lots of people as neighbors wonder why someone will pay a bride price with fake notes.
Discovering the fake notes

A local news platform, InsideOutNews reports that the bride’s parents discovered the fake notes when they tried to deposit the cash at an ATM.
According to reports, the ATM had refused to accept the cash deposit and the brides alerted the bank who then examined the situation and find out the money are fake notes.
Reacting, the brides parents alerted the local police and Adeloye was arrested.
According to the local police, Adeloye will be tried for possession of fake money.
