Prince Okey Kanu, the Abia State Hon. Commissioner for Information, in a new year message called for renewing of faith and strengthening the unity in building the Abia of our dreams.
Prince Kanu said despite all the challenges Abia has faced through the years, yet the citizens stand tall hopeful, hardworking, and united by an unshakable faith in a better tomorrow.
The Honourable commissioner who praised Abians for their resilience and believe in the new Abia, urged Abians to renew their commitment to truth, service, and collective progress.
The new year message reads:
As the curtains rise on 2026, my heart is filled with profound gratitude to God Almighty for His faithfulness, and to you, my dear friends, family, associates, and the resilient people of Abia State, for your unwavering love, support, and belief in our shared journey.
The passing year tested us, refined us, and strengthened our resolve. Yet, through every challenge, Abians stood tall hopeful, hardworking, and united by an unshakable faith in a better tomorrow. Your resilience is our greatest story; your courage, our loudest testimony.
As we step into this New Year, I invite us to renew our commitment to truth, service, and collective progress. Let us speak hope where there is doubt, extend compassion where there is need, and work together with renewed zeal to build an Abia that reflects our highest values, an Abia of opportunity, peace, transparency, and shared prosperity.
To our elders, may 2026 bring renewed strength and peace. To our youths, may it unlock doors of purpose and possibility. To our workers, may your labour be rewarded. To every family, may joy find your home and favour rest upon your household.
