Long before the 2027 conversations began, Dr. Chima Desmond Anyaso was already investing in the future of Bende’s children.
On 21 December 2018, through the Chima Anyaso Foundation, he organized one of the biggest Children’s Christmas Parties and Gift Distribution events ever witnessed in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area, Abia State.
This wasn’t a political rally. It wasn’t a campaign event. It was pure humanity in action.
Thousands of smiles. Thousands of children. Thousands of lives touched.
The event brought together children from all 13 autonomous communities of Igbere, with an estimated 3,500 children attending alongside their parents and guardians.
WHY WAS THE EVENT ORGANIZED?
The Foundation set out to:
✅ Give children from rural communities a joyful Christmas experience.
✅ Ensure children from low-income families were not excluded from festive celebrations.
✅ Support children’s education with learning materials.
✅ Encourage creativity, fun, and social interaction through games and competitions.
✅ Strengthen community unity during the festive season.
GIFTS AND EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT

The Foundation distributed:

👕 Clothes.

🎁 Various gift items.
These materials helped encourage school attendance while reducing the financial burden on struggling families.
A CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER
The celebration featured exciting recreational activities including:

🎭 Children’s cartoon characters.
🎅 Santa Claus appearances and gift presentations.
🤸 Trampolines and play equipment.
🎶 Music and dance activities.
A dance competition was also held, with winners and runners-up receiving special prizes, creating unforgettable memories for the children.
FOOD AND WELFARE SUPPORT
The Foundation didn’t stop at gifts.
