Orji Uzor Kalu Foundation Flags off Back to School Initiative targeting 100 schools in Abia North, in collaboration with Frantino Multipurpose Service Limited, SunBet, and Xpressride.

Through the distribution of school bags and writing materials, the foundation aims to strengthen basic education and combat illiteracy by supporting primary school pupils with essential learning tools.

Purpose of the Back to School Initiative

According to the Executive Secretary, Mr Ekeoma Ogwo, the initiative aligns with the foundation’s broader mission of empowering Nigerians through education, agriculture, healthcare, and humanitarian services.

He emphasized that the campaign is designed to improve access to quality education and provide students with a safe and conducive learning environment, reflecting the Organization’s long-term strategy for educational development.

Beneficiaries’ Heartfelt Gratitude

As the foundation’s team visited schools such as Igbere Central School, Lohum Imenyi Central School, Township School Ozuakoli, Ovim Community School, Umuhu Ezechi Community School, and Bende, among others.

On Day 1 of the Outreach, the beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude and reaffirmed their dedication to their studies.

The five-day outreach will not only ease the financial burden on parents but also strengthen the bond between the foundation, students, and teachers, fostering a sense of community support.
