The Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, Dr. Chimaobi Desmond Anyaso, has called on youths in Bende to embrace their role in shaping the future of the constituency, stressing the need for a generation that is empowered, included and given opportunities to participate in leadership and decision-making.
Anyaso made the call in a message commemorating International Youth Day, where he urged young people across Bende to recognise that the future of the constituency rests significantly on their shoulders.
In the message, the politician declared that “Bende youths, our time is now,” encouraging young people to remain actively involved in issues affecting their communities and the development of the constituency.
He said the future of Bende belongs to a generation that is empowered and included in governance, with young people given “a seat at the table” in matters concerning their collective future.
Anyaso also used the occasion to highlight the importance of investing in young people, saying leadership that prioritises youth empowerment could help create a better future for Bende.
According to him, with leaders committed to investing in the younger generation, a better and more prosperous Bende is achievable.
He concluded his message by extending his goodwill to youths across the constituency, wishing them a happy International Youth Day.

The International Youth Day celebration is observed annually to highlight issues affecting young people and promote greater youth participation in social, economic and political development.
