Kidnappers in Agbor, Delta State has reportedly killed a palm wine tapper after his family negotiated with N10,000 as the only money they had.
Human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu who shared the report said he led a joint taskforce team to rescue two palm wine tappers in Agbor, Delta State only to find out that one of them has been killed by the kidnappers.
According to him, the palm wine tappers were kidnapped in their farm at Emuhu, near Agbor Delta State.
Harrison said Security agencies responded swiftly when the kidnap incident was reported. “The Military from the 63 Brigade, the Emuhu Vigilante Group, Anti-Cult Abavo, Operation Soup, and teams of Police officers all joined us in the search and rescue mission,” the activist said.
He said one of the palm wine tappers was rescued while the other was killed for failure to pay the demanded ransom. Adding that the rescued one narrated to them why the kidnappers killed his colleague.

“We were able to locate one of the victims at Urhonigbe, Edo State. He narrated the heartbreaking incident on how his colleague was killed after the man’s family attempted to negotiate with the kidnappers using the only money they had, N10,000.”
