The Chairman, Civil Liberties Organization, CLO, Anambra State Branch, and renowned Social Crusader, Evangelist Comrade Vincent Ezekwueme, on behalf of the entire membership of CLO Anambra State, heartily felicitates with the Executive Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, on the auspicious occasion of his 66th birthday.
Comrade Ezekwueme described Governor Soludo as a rare blend of intellect, courage, compassion and conviction. A leader who has chosen to govern with both data and empathy, and whose administration has restored dignity to governance in Anambra State.
“Your Excellency, in four years and four months, you have broken the conspiracy of silence that once defined our public space. You have said what needed to be said, touched areas that were long untouched, and given attention to issues that were neglected but critical to our collective well-being,” Ezekwueme stated.
The CLO Chairman noted that Governor Soludo has distinguished himself as a moralist and reformist through deliberate actions aimed at sanitizing the society and protecting the future of our youths.
These include:
1. *Restoration of Public Morals*: The decisive closure of hotels in Awka and other parts of the state being used for sex parties and other social vices.
2. *War Against Criminal Syndicates*: The dismantling of _Ezenwanyi_ and _Ezenwoke_ networks that exploited and endangered youths,young women and men.
3. *Fight Against Deception*: The clampdown on fake pastors and merchants of miracles who lure our youths into the dangerous philosophy of “wealth without work” — a vice rightly captured by Mahatma Gandhi as one of the seven blunders of the world.
Beyond morality, Comrade Ezekwueme extolled the Governor’s landmark socio-economic interventions that have directly touched the lives of ordinary Ndi Anambra:
– *Infrastructure*: Unprecedented and ongoing rehabilitation and construction of roads across the 21 LGAs, connecting communities and boosting commerce.
– *Healthcare*: Free antenatal care and delivery for pregnant women, and free medical care for children, which have reduced maternal and infant mortality. Anambra Health Insurance Agency that reduces cost of hospital bills drastically among others.
– *Education*: Free education from Primary to Senior Secondary School 3, easing the burden on parents and expanding access to quality learning.
(4) Baning of Christmas, Graduation parties that has been conduit pipe for extortions and exploitations of pupils, students and parents.
“These people-oriented policies have engraved Your Excellency’s name in the hearts and minds of Ndi Anambra as a caring, empathetic, compassionate and servant-leader who leads not for himself, but for the people,” he added.
As Professor Soludo clocks 66, the CLO Anambra State joins millions of well-wishers to pray for God’s continued wisdom, strength, sound health and divine protection upon him.
“On behalf of my family and the entire Civil Liberties Organization, CLO, Anambra State Branch, we wish His Excellency a very happy 66th birthday.
