The Abia Arise Movement in Aba North Local Government Area has unveiled plans for a major political rally designed to reaffirm grassroots support for the re-election of Governor Alex Otti, ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The event, christened “Abia Arise Aba North LGA Mega Rally 2026,” will be held under the theme, “The Governor’s 2027 Return Is Sacrosanct,” underscoring the movement’s resolve to sustain Governor Otti’s administration and consolidate the reforms and developmental strides recorded across the state.
According to the organizers, the highly anticipated rally is scheduled for Monday, August 3, 2026, at 12:00 noon at the Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba, where thousands of supporters are expected to converge in what is projected to be one of the largest political gatherings in Aba North this year.
The rally is expected to attract political stakeholders, community leaders, youths, women, professionals, market associations, artisans, party faithful, and residents from across Aba North and other parts of Abia State, demonstrating widespread confidence in Governor Otti’s leadership and vision for the state’s future.
Organizers explained that the event will not only celebrate the achievements of the current administration but will also serve as a strategic platform for deepening grassroots mobilization in preparation for the 2027 governorship election.
Participants are expected to reaffirm their commitment to the vision of building a prosperous, modern, and transformed Abia State under the popular slogan, “A New Abia Is Here.”
The Coordinator of Abia Arise in Aba North Local Government Area, Ambassador Kenneth Emelike, called on members of the movement and the general public to turn out in large numbers to ensure the rally records overwhelming success. He emphasized that the gathering would further strengthen the movement’s political engagement while reinforcing support for the governor’s development agenda.
