A new luxury hotel has added another striking landmark to Aba’s growing hospitality landscape, but behind the 55-room ORIS Signature Hotel is a businessman whose journey from Anambra to Aba has become closely connected with the city’s business community.
Owelle Greg Okafor, an Anambra-born entrepreneur and Chief Executive Officer of the Oris Group, has spent years building businesses in Aba, where he has established interests in hospitality, entertainment and other sectors.
Okafor hails from Nsugbe-Umunoko, Ụkpọ, in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State. Although he is originally from Anambra, Aba has become the base for much of his business activity and investment.
His latest project, the newly commissioned ORIS Signature Hotel, is located along Okigwe Road, Aba, and adds another premium hospitality facility to the commercial city.
The 55-room hotel features different categories of accommodation and is positioned to cater to visitors seeking a luxury experience in Aba.
According to information provided about the project, some of its premium rooms and suites can attract rates of about ₦2 million per night, depending on the room category and applicable rate.
But beyond the luxury associated with the new hotel, the story of ORIS Signature Hotel is also a story about the businessman behind the investment.

Okafor’s business journey has been closely tied to Aba, a city widely known for its entrepreneurial culture and commercial activity.

Okafor’s connection to Aba also extends beyond business. He is a graduate of Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, now known as Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba.
