Former Abia State Governor and Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, has reaffirmed the need for stronger international partnerships to accelerate the growth of Nigeria’s aviation sector following a high-level meeting with a delegation from Etihad Airways.
The delegation, led by the airline’s Senior Vice President for Aeropolitical, International and Government Affairs, Captain Khalid Humaid Al Ali, held discussions with the senator on ways to strengthen aviation cooperation and deepen strategic collaboration between Nigeria and the global carrier.
According to Kalu, the meeting focused on exploring opportunities that would enhance bilateral engagement, promote investment, and support the continued development of Nigeria’s aviation industry.
He noted that as Nigeria continues to position itself as a key destination for investment and a regional hub for international connectivity, strategic engagements with leading global aviation stakeholders remain essential to achieving sustainable growth in the sector.
The former Chief Whip of the Senate emphasized the importance of building mutually beneficial relationships with international industry leaders to unlock new opportunities that would improve the country’s aviation landscape and expand economic prospects.
Kalu expressed appreciation to Captain Khalid Humaid Al Ali and the Etihad Airways delegation for what he described as a productive engagement, expressing optimism that the discussions would pave the way for stronger collaboration in the interest of Nigeria.
