By transitioning from mere farming to agribusiness, he argued, thousands of jobs will be created in logistics, packaging, marketing, and engineering, transforming the rural economy into a bustling industrial hub.

To prove that this vision is highly realizable, Chief Bourdex drew from his wealth of personal experience as a pioneer of private enterprise. He recounted the establishment of Bourdex Telecommunications, the first privately owned telecom company in the former Eastern region as a testament to what happens when the government creates an enabling environment.

“Government does not create prosperity; people do. The responsibility of the government is to create the conditions under which prosperity becomes possible,” he asserted.

He lauded the current administration of Governor Alex Chioma Otti (OFR) for actively working to provide this exact enabling environment through improved security, infrastructural development, and predictable policies.
