Former Abia State Governor and lawmaker representing Abia North Senatorial District, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu (APC–Abia North) has extended his warmest greetings to citizens across the country, emphasising the need for unity, inclusion, and continued dedication to democratic values.

In a statement released to mark the occasion, the former Governor of Abia State hailed Nigeria’s democratic journey as a testament to the resilience and determination of the Nigerian people.

“Today, we celebrate not only our right to choose our leaders but also the courage and unity that define us as a people,” Senator Kalu said. “Democracy is about service, justice, and opportunity for all.”

Kalu urged Nigerians to use the day as a moment for reflection and recommitment to building a more just and prosperous nation. He stressed the importance of peace, tolerance, and patriotism, while reaffirming his personal commitment to national development and social welfare.

“Let us uphold the values of peace and patriotism in all our actions,” he added. “I remain deeply committed to good governance and to the well-being of all Nigerians.”
