Security personnel at the weekend, stormed Umueleta Obingwu community in Ukwa West Local Government Area of Abia State and destroyed the shrine of a native doctor, Solomon Ekwuluo (aka Ezeudene).

Ekwuluo, a native of Etche, in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers state was said to have relocated to Umueleta Obingwu from Orlu in Imo State about five years ago.
The security personnel, operating in a Hilux van were reported to have stormed the community in search of Ezeudene over undisclosed reports against him.

However, as the security operatives could not get Ezeudene, they reportedly set his shrine at Obingwu on fire.

A source who did not want his name in print disclosed that the security operatives said they were acting on order from above.

When contacted, Ekwuluo said he was outside Obingwu to take care of his failing health and promised to speak on the development later, but he never did.
The traditional ruler of the community, Eze Emeka Otta when contacted on phone, said he was aware of the development.
Eze Otta said information available to him suggested that somebody who may not have hand in the native doctor’s ordeal, has wrongly being accused and called for calm and for peace to reign in the community.
